Description:
Suitable to use for miso soup, ramen or salads. For Miso soup and ramen, 1 person only requires 1gm of benri wakame. For salads, 1 person would need 3gm of benri wakame. To make salad, the benri wakame will need to be soaked in sufficient water for about 5 minutes, squeeze out all the water until dry.
Recipe: WAKAME SOUP (3 – 4 servings)
Ingredients - Dried Benri Wakame 10gm Slice pork 80gm
Long Cabbage 100gm Water 900ml
Shimeji Mushroom ½ bunch Leek 1 stalk
White sesame (DR-2647) 1 tsp Salad oil 15ml
Chicken soup stock 2 tsp

Seasoning “A” = ½ tsp salt, pepper (little), 2tsp soya sauce
Seasoning “B” = ½ tsp sake, ½ tsp soya sauce

1. Cut the slices of pork into smaller pieces and use “B” to season it. Leave aside.
2. Wash the shimeji mushroom and break into pieces.
3. Cut the cabbage into bite size and slice the leek.
4. Inside the pot, heat up salad oil. Add in (1) and (2). Fry a while. Then, add in water and chicken soup stock. Lastly, add in the benri wakame and start to boil. Remove any floating white foam. Continue to boil for approximately 5 minutes as you remove the foam.
5. Add in “A” and (3). Bring to boil. Sprinkle some white sesame on top, when serving.
